RING — Activity Tracker

One-line pitch: RING is the game's activity clock. Every time you do something, a moment is stamped — those moments drive the Eta numbers that influence your rewards.

What this is

RING is a side-chain contract that records a moment each time your Soul does something meaningful. Those moments accumulate into an Eta computation — four values (Phoebe, Iota, Chao, Charge) that represent your historical activity profile.

Eta feeds into PANG (the scoreboard) and ultimately influences your territory rewards in WORLD.

In short: RING is the game's memory of what you've been doing. Consistent activity = stronger Eta = better rewards.

If you've played a web3 game before

  • Closest analogy: a daily activity streak that compounds into multipliers.
  • Or: an on-chain activity oracle — some protocols track participation this way to weight airdrops.
  • Or: ve-staking lock duration — the longer and more consistently you've been active, the stronger your weight.
Dysnomia term What it maps to
RING The activity/moments recorder
Moments Per-Soul counter of recorded activity events
Eta Four derived values from your moment history (Phoebe, Iota, Chao, Charge)
Phobos RING's reference to the root QING used in its math

What you actually do with it

  • Play normally — chatting, battling, coding territory all stamp moments through the engine.
  • Don't call RING directly — it's read during PANG and CHEON computations. You don't have a register my moment button.
  • Watch your Eta implicitly — more activity = better Eta = better reward share.

Rewards / costs

  • Cost: none (moments stamp as side effects of other actions you're already paying gas for).
  • Reward: no direct payout. Eta is a multiplier/factor that amplifies your other rewards.

Requirements & gating

  • You need to have done something in the game for RING to have any record of you.
  • Bound to your Soul (the stable 64-bit player ID), not your wallet address.

Where it connects

Reads from your Soul's moment history. Feeds into PANG's Push. Ultimately influences WORLD territory reward splits and CHEON payouts.

Quick FAQ

Q: What counts as a "moment"? A: The specifics are defined by the gameplay contracts that call into RING — chat, battle, territory claim, etc. If you did something on-chain, odds are a moment was stamped.

Q: Do moments decay over time? A: RING's Eta computation weights recent activity more than ancient activity (effectively). If you stop playing, your Eta drifts down over time as fresh activity matters more.

Q: Can I read my current Eta? A: Yes — RING exposes Eta() as a view-ish call.

Q: What if I change wallets? A: RING tracks by Soul, so swapping wallets doesn't reset your moment history as long as Soul continuity is preserved.
